Biffy Clyro, circa ‘Infinity Land’ were on the bridge of a cross over, and that cross over, completely out of the blue it might have appeared to a legion of fans, was to the pop side of our culture. Don’t get me wrong, I love the new album and I’ve been to a couple of gigs and it’s amazing stuff, great songs full of catchy choruses, memorable riffs and fantastic structures.
Now if you happen to LOVE the ‘Biff prior to the ‘Puzzle’ then you may take interest to Derry based band Fighting With Wire and their new album ‘Man VS Monster’.
Top track ‘Everyone Needs A Nemesis’ is straight out of the Biffy handbook & I’m sure they’d be first to admit their heavy inspiration from the Scottish trio but they’ve definately put their twist on it.

I think i’ll need to give the album more of a listen but as we’re a generation who’ll just download an album on the strength of a high promoted single, then i’m sure you’ll all be givin’ me your two cents in all due course.

It be Thursday, the fortnightly pay day of the few, and the day before heaven for the nine-to-fiver’s of the normal weekly working soul.
Bit quiet it must be said on the front for music, partially down to the AWFUL climate of new bands coming through, but at least i’ve fallen across a tshirt for the purchase must it be had.

Come pay day my pockets may feel savaged, not just by your commonplace luxury’s like food thats not just smart price but also those seven inches that are going away for those rainy days ahead when all has gone and what may be left is grey.
Now to add more misery to the issue of being out of pocket (which is my own fault entirely) I’ve now got Rumplo breathing down my neck forcing my hand to click ‘Yes’ or is it ; ‘Yes I’d love to buy that spankingly nice top!’ ?

Again, it has to be said that YouTube is coming up trumps at the moment with an abundence of kitch eighties classics from the big & small screen.
